LandfillThe Land and Resource Management Unit (LRM) is responsible for the implementation of waste management policy and the promotion of a more sustainable approach to dealing with waste in Northern Ireland. This will make a major contribution to safeguarding the environment and promoting resource efficiency and economic growth.

The new Towards Resource Management: The Northern Ireland Waste Management Strategy 2006 - 2020Opens in New window ( pdf - 2MB)  was launched on the 30th March 2006 and provides a framework for the development and achievement of effective resource and waste management practices in Northern Ireland.
